  While staying at Holiday Inn next door, I was looking for a massage, and I found more! The nature of the business was explained to me when I called for an appointment. I was agreeable to coming in as a new Physical Therapy Patient. This included a full evaluation and first treatment that lasts at least 2 hours. Robin was my assigned therapist, and she's excellent! She was helpful in explaining simply and step by step what she was observing in her evaluation, and how she would apply MFR. I was able to relax easily and feel the dynamics of the tissue she was treating as the changes were happening. At the conclusion of our session, she gave me some coupons for a yoga class and biomat treatments, other services offered at this clinic, and a couple of self-help exercises and a small therapy ball. I will also get paperwork from my session with physical therapy codes that I can submit to my insurance for possible reimbursement. All in all 5 Star service! I plan to be back again and again with my travels. Oh, and thanks! This was a lovely way to spend some of my time.

  Excellent practice with awesome practitioners who are commited to providing you with quality care. If you have tried other modalities and haven’t gotten any relief do yourself a favor and schedule an sppointment. Your body will thank you!

  After a car accident in 2008 I have struggled with back pain, that over time has spread into my hips and legs. I've been to doctors who did scans and suggested meds (no thanks, I'm only 28), physical therapists / massage therapists who provided me with temporary relief. One day while browsing Pinterest I saw a pin about "fascia", started researching and thought "wow, this is it." Seriously, if you suffer from any type of pain, google symptoms of bound fascia and you will be amazed. After just one session at Southern Maryland Myofascial Release I felt relief that I haven't been able to find before. They also gave mea list of things I can do at home. I HIGHLY recommend this place. If I could give more than 5 starts, I would :)

  I'm a nurse and I work 13 hours on my feet. I also lift heavy patients and make my back suffer. Starting a couple years ago, I've been having strange knee pains. I'm only in my 20's, so the chiropractors I visited thought I was making a big deal about nothing. Then I finally decided to see a therapist and went to Journeying into Healing. The practice is very clean and nice. Each room has a comfortable ambiance and I felt like I could truly relax here. My therapist's name was Kim and she was a very pleasant and jolly person from the start. Before we began anything, she asked me to stand up on bare feet. I did not know what she was doing initially, but then I realized she was making a thorough visual assessment of my body. I was very surprised when she asked me if my right side was weak because I was supporting my weight on the left side. She could just tell this by the way I was leaning a bit on the left and she was absolutely correct! My right knee has been the one that's been bothering me for a while! This immediately validated her knowledge and skills. I felt this relief that I had never felt before at other practices because nobody took my knee complaints seriously. Kim understood how my body was functioning in a holistic manner and she performed myofascial release technique on me while explaining everything in a simple manner. She could tell where I felt pain and the places I was having trouble with. Some areas hurt more than others but no pain, no gain! At the end of the therapy, she shared some knowledge of how I can help my sciatic pain at home with a ball. She actually got down on the floor and showed me and evaluated my skills. I really appreciated that she took the time to teach me. I would give Kim six stars if I could. I will definitely be back.
