The Luge Mountain Biking Trails

Excellent trail, fast fun downhill

It’s difficult to accurately describe this trail to the general public because riding abilities are judged so subjectively. A person may say he’s in bad shape then go ride a century while another person may say they’re in decent shape but can’t ride more than a couple of miles. With that being said, if you’re a mountain biker and enjoy a beautiful ride with a moderate amount of climbing and a thrilling and challenging descent at the end, this is worth a look. If you want to hike this trail, I’ll just say this, watch out for the bikers, as this is a very popular riding trail. Link it with Whiting Ranch to make it a day long ride for an extra challenge.

f the wear on the trail is any indication, the Luge has been a very popular trail for a very long time! The main Luge Trail is a bomber descent that is true to it's namesake: big berms and a trench-like disposition hold you into the trail, letting you open it up and let it rip down the mountain! The trail is currently pretty rough in places, with some rocks and tons of braking bumps going into the corners, but still, the best word to describe it is flowy.
